4 Ways To Create a Memorable Client Experience

1. MAKE THE PROCESS EASY FOR THEM
From the very first email to collection of the final balance, it’s important to create a streamlined workflow that is easy and painless for your clients. If you aren’t already using 17Hats, I highly recommend it! Regardless of the type of small business you are running, it will make your life so much easier (and in return, your clients!). 17 Hats is my hub for my entire business; from online contracts + payments, to bookkeeping, to scheduling – it’s all there! Use THIS for a special discount on your membership!

2. ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS BEFORE THEY HAVE THEM
Educating your clients on your process, what to expect, the next steps, etc. will not only make them feel more comfortable with their purchase, it will also help them trust you as a business owner. My clients receive a session guide upon booking which walks them through what to expect and how best to prepare for their session with me.

3. UNDER PROMISE, OVER DELIVER
This age-old business saying will always ring true. For me, this means promising 50 images and deliver 60, promising a three week turnaround and delivering in two, etc. Find a way you can over deliver with each and every client, and make it a habit!

4. DO SOMETHING UNEXPECTED
My favorite way to surprise my clients is with a gift via snail mail! People rarely expect to find anything in their mailbox besides bills and junk mail, so I love to surprise my clients with something fun after their session with me. There are so many ways you can do this while keeping your workflow simple from curated gift boxes shipped directly to your clients (I personally love Loved And Found!) however, if you don’t have the budget to spend that much on each client yet, Greetabl is a great affordable go-to gift for clients! They are fully customizable from the box itself to the message you write to the actual gift inside. The absolute BEST part? They ship it directly to your client which means no hassling with packaging or the post office!

If you’re a photographer, you can add photos from your client’s session directly to the box which personalizes it even more! It’s easy (like, SO easy. It’ll only add 2 minutes on to your workflow!), affordable, and beautiful!
